On the afternoon of November 30th 2021, the Biomedical Research Center of Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine successfully organized a webinar with the theme: “Advances in detection methods and drug therapy research in fighting against COVID-19".
In order to exchange academic fields and update advances in research on science and technology; to strengthen cooperation with partners inside and outside the university, the Biomedical Research Center organized an science webinar. The webinar welcomed the participation of more than 50 experts, lecturers, medical staff and students from universities, research institutes and medical facilities in Viet Nam and abroad such as: University of Copenhagen. University of Hong Kong, Chonson University - Korea, etc.

The weminar had the participation of the Board of Chairman, including: Assoc. Prof Tran Cong Toai, PhD, MD - Head of the Fundametal Sciences and Basic Sciences Faculty, Head of the Biomedical Research Center, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Thanh Binh, PhD, DVM - Senior Lecturer, Head of Cell - Tissue Deparment and Nguyen Minh Ha, PhD, MD - Head of Service Department.
The weminar opened with the presentation: "Advances in anti-COVID-19 drug therapy research" by Huynh Phuoc Lap, PhD Candidate - Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences - University of Copenhagen, Denmark. After that, the attendees listened to presentation from Nguyen Minh Ha, PhD, MD and her colleagues' research about: "Advances in detection methods of COVID-19”.

Along with topicality and high applicability in research, diagnosis and treatment of patients, the topics of the speakers were highly appreciated by the Board of Chairman, as well as the attendees. After the two presentations, the attendees raised many questions to the speakers which have opened up more professional knowledge, as well as research directions in the near future.
With an atmosphere of cordial scientific exchange, the webinar was a great success. Hopefully in the near future, the Biomedical Research Center - Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine will receive registration of speakers from faculties, departments within the university, outside the university and internationally.
