The IUHW scholarship is awarded to first- and second-year medical students who rank in the top 10% academically within their institutions. In addition, applicants are required to demonstrate strong English language proficiency, particularly in listening and speaking skills, to successfully participate in IUHW’s entirely English-conducted examinations and interviews.
Both students officially commenced their studies at IUHW in April 2025, embarking on a new academic journey in a modern international environment and gaining access to Japan’s advanced medical education system.
This prestigious scholarship program was made available to students of Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine thanks to the efforts to promote international collaboration by Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Trong Hao, Chairman of the PNTU’s University Council, during his working visit to Japan in March 2024. The fruitful connections established during this visit have not only opened doors for scholarship opportunities but also marked a significant milestone in the university’s ongoing strategy of global integration.
