In his opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Thanh Hiep, Rector of PNTU, highlighted the significance of the event, recognizing the seminar as a platform for sharing knowledge and experiences while fostering promising opportunities for collaboration aimed at the sustainable development of community health.

Following the opening, Assoc. Prof. Pham Le Tuan, Chairman of the Vietnam Military-Civil Medicine Association, emphasized the pivotal role of primary healthcare in community wellness. He noted that "Primary Healthcare," "Family Medicine," and "Military-Civil Medicine Integration" serve as essential pillars for improving healthcare quality, particularly in underserved areas. Additionally, he underscored the importance of the partnership agreement between PNTU and Medlatec Vietnam Co., Ltd. in optimizing shared resources, leveraging strengths, and enhancing training and research activities in healthcare.

As part of the program, prior to the commencement of valuable discussions on the topic of integrated diagnostic systems in primary healthcare, the signing ceremony of the partnership agreement between Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine and Medlatec Vietnam Co., Ltd. (the managing entity of the Medlatec Healthcare System) was a significant event, marking a profound and enduring collaboration in education and scientific research in the field of healthcare between the two parties.

Through the cooperation agreement, both parties commit to implementing the following activities: joint efforts in continuous training to enhance the capacity of primary healthcare; collaboration in developing medical services related to primary healthcare; and partnerships in scientific research and technological advancement in healthcare.
In primary healthcare, diagnostic testing plays a pivotal role, especially in an era where medical decisions must be based on evidence from clinical diagnostics. It forms the foundation for screening and detecting diseases and serves as the “backbone” of diagnosis and treatment. For primary healthcare, a diagnostic testing system that collaborates with family physicians enables swift and accurate diagnostic and treatment decisions, as well as early detection of public health issues. The presentations at the seminar include:

The workshop on "Companion Diagnostic Systems in Primary Healthcare" concluded successfully with fruitful discussions and practical solutions aimed at enhancing the quality of grassroots healthcare services. The presentations delivered during the workshop were not only scientific in nature but also inspired actionable and practical solutions.
The presentation by Specialist Level I Physician Nguyễn Trí Quang highlighted how the MEDLATEC Healthcare System applies family medicine in healthcare, creating accessible and swift services to meet the growing needs of the population. Following that, Associate Professor Vũ Quang Huy emphasized the critical role of diagnostic systems in improving the effectiveness of primary healthcare at the grassroots level. He underlined the importance of integrating diagnostic systems into medical activities to enhance diagnostic and treatment outcomes. Lastly, Dr. Nguyễn Trung Hòa presented the results of a pilot model for Health Stations as Primary Healthcare Centers, offering a new approach to improving the quality of grassroots healthcare services.
This workshop was not only a meaningful scientific forum but also contributed to fostering connections and collaborations among institutions, aiming to elevate the quality of community healthcare and better meet the increasingly high demands of the public. It also opened new opportunities for collaboration between Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine and MEDLATEC Vietnam Co., Ltd., reaffirming the close integration between medical organizations, universities, and enterprises. This collaboration plays a crucial role in driving innovative initiatives and jointly developing grassroots healthcare, thereby building a solid foundation for the sustainable growth of the healthcare system.
