In the morning of March 11th 2021, the Executive Vice Rector of University of Medicine Pham Ngoc Thach (UPNT), Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Thanh Hiep, welcomed Dr. Madan Mohan Sethi, Consul General of India in Viet Nam, on the occasion of his visit at UPNT.
Attending the meeting, including Dr. Madan Mohan Sethi, Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City; Ms. Trinh Thanh Tam, Assitant of Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City; Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Thanh Hiep, Executive Vice Rector of UPNT; Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Van Phuong, Deputy Head of Internationnal Cooperation Office (ICO) of UPNT and the members of ICO of UPNT.
The Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City has had an effective meeting with UPNT
At the meeting, UPNT has presented their outstanding features as well as the school development strategy which aims to become one of Vietnam's prestigious medical training, scientific research and international cooperation center, on a regional and international level. UPNT shows great consideration in cooperating with prestigious universities, partners and enterprises of other countries. Up till now, we have established cooperation with more than 20 universites, scientific, educational organisations and partners from other countries, thereby contributing to improving the reputation, training and scientific research capability of UPNT.
Showing interest to cooperation proposals of UPNT, Dr. Madan Mohan Sethi highly agreed and committed to work with related agencies in order to promote the cooperation process between the two parties focusing on developing information technology in medical science, collaborative training in medicine, pharmacy and science research in cancer and chronic diseases. The Consul General expressed that this would be a solid foundation for cooperation development between UPNT and Indian partners in the near future.
